Goodbye

If you follow my LJ at all you'll know I've outgrown this name. It's a long story, one that can be found on my livejournal, however I don't want to retype it all here.

However I am moving. I'm not leaving dA, I like it here too much. I am just moving to a new page. I'm going to mainly focus on my photography over there however I'll have writing posted there as well. Everyone here is more than welcome to follow me over there (I'll post a link at the end here). And I'll be watching all of you so, watch me back?

Anyway I'm not sure if I'll move all my pictures/writing over there or not. Most likely I'll just import my favorite pieces over there. I took a trip to the local park this past weekend and did a lot of photography then. All the photos I took this past weekend are posted over there...I think there's around 19 or 20. This is the last time I'll update this page and will probably delete it sometime in the future.

Last Day

So it's April 15th. The last day of my job here at H&R Block. It sucks because now I have to start the madness of a job hunt so that I can have some sort of income. On the other hand though I'll some free time so that I can continue to pursue my spiritual studies.

My cat has recently had a cold but she seems to be getting better. I'm so glad about that...she's my baby. Nothing like a steambath to clear up some phlegm =-P

I've again kind of neglected my writing and poetry lately. So much for one poem a day during April. I kinda got down with a cold for awhile myself though and that kind of interrupted it. Perhaps I can get back into the swing of things though. It would be nice. I very much enjoy writing.

Over this past weekend me and my friends hit a few garage sales around here and got some pretty sweet deals. I got 2 movies for $6 (RV for my mom and Pirates 2 for me). Also found a shirt that I liked. Yea I know wearing other peoples close can be weird but...you borrow your friends clothes right? Just wash them before you wear them and why not? Clothes at a discount price are win!!

As for today, we are so busy it's nuts. The phone is ringing off the hook. I need to go in the back and do a bunch of filing but then I can't see the front and we've had several walk in. The office is totally full with only one (out of 5) tax professionals actually available and I'm nearly out of water. I need to run over to Kroger (5 doors down) and grab some more but I can't even leave long enough to do that. Dan (my boss) brought in sandwich fixins for lunch so atleast I won't starve that way but still...there's no drinks here and the water from the bathroom faucet is nasty. Must take a break to get some water soon...

While reading my LJ friends list this morning :iconzombie-vomit: had mentioned another site called allpoetry.com You submit poetry only over there. I joined and have been having a wonderful conversation with a guy that actually has manners! Those are a rare breed indeed. If you follow me here there will be no need to search me out over there, I'll be crossing posting most everything.

I must say though that I am very glad to finally be done with the Astrology book. I very much enjoyed reading it but when it takes me too long (in my mind) to read one book it starts to annoy me. That book was 317 pages long...I should've been able to finish it in a little over a week even with working. It took me almost 3 weeks to read the whole thing. Ack, that's annoying. And now I must finish the other book I'm reading ("the Earth Path"). I'm almost finished with it so it shouldn't take that long to do. I've been reading through it for about the same amount of time as the Astrology book. I kept flitting back and forth between the two of them when I would get brain freeze on the other subject. A girl can only read so much about aspects and transits before her head explodes ya know.

Today though, I'm going to try to focus on my writing. :iconchibixai: has inspired me to create a feline character so we'll see what that turns out like. Maybe I can sketch her out and then put her in a scene later today or tomorrow...we'll see.

8 of Pentacles

Everyday I draw one tarot card that might give me a clue as to what the day may hold. It's meant mainly to teach me the individual meanings of the cards since I'm a total tarot n00b. Anyway this past week I've drawn the 8 of Pentacles 3 times out of 6 days (one day I didn't do a reading-couldn't get a moment alone). One time was reversed (upside down) and the other 2 were 'normal'. I generally take the 8 of Pentacles to mean that could be a new job opportunity or that I have some kind of talent that I need to utilize. The one time it was reversed could mean I'm not using one of my talents. I now believe that talent to be writing. Today though I drew the 4 of Wands...basically that means an unexpected gift in my deck...hmmm I wonder what that'll be???

I haven't been writing much lately at all. Actually until I started this poem a day for everyday in April thing I hadn't written a poem in quite awhile and it's been what seems like forever since I've written any thing even remotely close to a story or a scene. I really need to get back to writing again. Today while here at work I'm going to finish my Astrology book, I have less than 16 pages left...there is no reason I can't finish this today. And then when I get done with that, I'm going to start writing. I have ideas for stories I just haven't written them down....and I need to. Especially if I ever hope to make a life as a writer.

***EDIT*** I have FINALLY finished my book on Astrology. Woohoo. Now to finish the other book I was reading...and then I'll probably dive into a more in depth book on Astrology. A little bit more advanced one probably. Either that or read another beginner book just for review...probably a good idea to make sure I've grasped all the concepts. There is ALOT to take in on the subject.

National Poetry Awareness Month

One of my boyfriends friends alerted me that it was National Poetry Awareness Month. I obviously haven't been wrinting much lately and so I thought a good way to get back in the swing of things is to write a poem everyday in April. Will try to post them but...some of my poems wind up being kind of personal and I don't want to share them.

I did some journal writing this morning, which I hadn't done in 4-5 days. I don't know why I don't make myself atleast journal. I feel so much better when I do. No wonder I spent most of my high school days buried in my journals just writing instead of paying attention to the teachers. Although now I wish I had been paying attention instead of writing =-P However I do realize the therapeutic benefits of journaling and so I will try to keep myself on that path.

On another note, the Astrology book I was reading earlier has inspired me to write another story. Particularly a transformation story. I will either start on that today or tomorrow. I need to do a bit more research so I can get everything accurate. Even though it is a fiction story I still like to have my facts and things correct. I don't like giving out false information, especially since it could be the first time a person has been introduced to a specific concept. Not everyone knows alot about Astrology after all. hehe.
